2. Romantic haven
Got an anniversary coming up? Greenmantle is the ultimate place to celebrate this special day with your loved one. The two storeyed lodge is spacious yet intimate, which makes it perfect for a romantic getaway. Just imagine the two of you sipping away a glass of New Zealand’s finest red in the silk lined marquee by the pool. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?
3. Serene atmosphere
The serene atmosphere at Greenmantle is reason enough to visit. You can find peace and quiet in the simplest of things: wander through the established gardens, swim a few lapse in the pool, read a book in the hot tub or play a game of chess in the lounge.
Feel like exploring serenity in the area? Then we suggest visiting all the beauty Kapiti Coast has to offer, such as endless hiking options and beach activities.
4. Pleasant microclimate
Greenmantle is based in the Kapiti area and has a microclimate. This means the lodge is located in a restricted area and differs a lot from the surrounding area. In Greenmantle’s case it is protected from lots of the wind – the outside pool area is like a hot house. Perfect for some pleasant outdoor time!
5. Amazing food and high teas
A multi-course breakfast, pre-dinner Prosecco with artisan canapés and fine dining paired with fine wining: gastronomy is an important part of the Greenmantle experience.
But is does not stop there: the Greenmantle High Tea is an absolute must-try as well. For 50 euros per person, you will relish homemade macaroons, panna cotta, salmon sandwiches, pork terrine and pastries, accompanied by different types of tea. Feeling festive? There is also the option to treat yourself to – again – a delicious glass of Italian Prosescco.
6. Wellington’s one and only lodge
The amazing thing about Greenmantle’s location is that you surrounded by serenity and nature, but are only at 45 minutes drive away from the lively Wellington. So at Wellington’s one and only lodge, you get to enjoy the best of both worlds! Combine some relaxing time in Paraparaumu with an evening out in New Zealand’s capital!
7. From wedding to private retreats
From private to business: Greenmantle is the ideal location for retreats. Small weddings van be arranged, including the ceremony and reception which both will be co-ordinated by Greenmantle staff. What does small mean? Think in the direction of formal seated dinner for up to twelve people, to elegant receptions up to thirty.
With a comfortable private meeting space, Greenmantle is also the ideal venue for small corporate retreats. Full catering services are available, including a buffet for a maximum of twenty people.
8. Scenic helicopter flights
Definitely a bucket list experience: going on a helicopter flight in either the Kapiti Island, a 200 million year old island rich of culture and history, or Mount Hector, an alpine experience.
Heliworx is the company Greenmantle works with, because of its excellence. Your pilot will act as a host at the same time, informing you about all the beauty around you. To make it as easy as possible, Greenmantle has it’s very own helipad right up the hill where you can be picked up and dropped off.
